Lesson 6

    Healing Codependency

    Lesson 6

    The Architecture of Enmeshment

In Lesson 5, you applied the Intermediate principles to codependency—tracing caretaking responses to their symbolic roots, challenging the core beliefs that fuel them, and practicing techniques that interrupt the automatic processing keeping your enmeshment on autopilot. You now have the tools to see what drives your codependency at a deeper level than most people ever reach. The Advanced course takes you further still.

The Psychological Foundations: Advanced course addresses the structures that maintain codependency long after you intellectually understand it: core beliefs, identity patterns, and interpersonal dynamics. You will learn how beliefs formed in childhood ("Without me, they will fall apart," "Having my own needs is selfish," "I am only valuable when I am needed") become the invisible architecture of chronic enmeshment—filtering every relationship through a lens of obligation and rescue. You will explore how identity itself can become organized around caretaking, and why that identity must be consciously examined before lasting change is possible.

This is the level where intellectual understanding becomes lived transformation. Complete the Advanced course, then return here for Lesson 7, where you will apply these frameworks to systematically build an independent self capable of genuine, non-codependent love.
