    Lesson 2

    Healing People-Pleasing

    Lesson 2

    Learning to Notice

Lesson 1 gave you the map of people-pleasing—what it is, how it operates, and why your brain produces it. But understanding people-pleasing intellectually is not the same as being able to work with it in real time. To do that, you need a foundational set of psychological skills that most people have never been taught: the ability to notice your own emotional responses as they happen, to understand what your emotions are actually telling you, and to regulate your internal state without suppression or automatic accommodation.

The Psychological Foundations: Basics course is where that training begins. It covers eight essential lessons—from the case for why healing matters, to how emotions function as information, to the mechanics of emotional regulation. These are not abstract concepts. They are the operating system that every practical people-pleasing intervention in this course depends on. Without the capacity to observe your own patterns with clarity and honesty—especially the lightning-fast moment where you override your own needs to serve someone else's—any boundary-setting technique you try will be undermined by the very automatic responses that drive your people-pleasing.

This course teaches you how to build a real relationship with your own inner world—the foundation from which all people-pleasing healing becomes possible. Complete the Basics course, then return here for Lesson 3, where you will apply everything you've learned directly to your people-pleasing patterns.

    Required Course

    Psychological Foundations: Basics

8 lessons · Build emotional awareness, understand the subconscious, and learn to read your emotions as information.

Once you've completed the Basics course, you'll have the emotional awareness and self-observation skills needed to begin applying those principles directly to people-pleasing. In Lesson 3, you'll learn to identify your specific people-pleasing triggers, recognize the fawn response as it activates in your body, and use grounding techniques to create the pause between stimulus and automatic accommodation.
