Unsent letters are a powerful way to process emotions that feel stuck. By writing to someone (or something) without the pressure of actually sending it, you can express yourself with complete honesty—including things too raw, complicated, or inappropriate to say directly.
This technique is used in many therapeutic approaches including grief work, trauma processing, and relationship healing. The act of externalizing thoughts onto paper creates psychological distance and often leads to unexpected insights.
