    Limiting Beliefs Inventory

Limiting beliefs are assumptions about yourself, others, or the world that constrain what you think is possible. They often form in childhood, feel like facts rather than beliefs, and operate below conscious awareness—yet they profoundly shape your choices and life.

Common limiting beliefs include: "I'm not good enough," "Success isn't for people like me," "I don't deserve happiness," or "If I fail, it proves I'm worthless." This inventory helps you identify and begin challenging these hidden barriers.

    Areas to Explore

    About Yourself:

•I am... (not smart enough, too old, unlovable, broken)
•I can't... (succeed, change, be happy, do it right)
•I don't deserve... (love, success, good things, happiness)
•I'm not... (worthy, capable, lovable, enough)
•I always... / I never... (mess things up, get what I want)

    About Others:

•People are... (untrustworthy, judgmental, out to get me)
•If I show weakness, they will... (reject me, use it against me)
•Others are better than me at... (everything, life, relationships)
•No one will ever... (understand me, truly love me)

    About Life/World:

•Life is... (hard, unfair, a struggle, painful)
•Success requires... (luck, connections, suffering, being someone else)
•Money is... (scarce, the root of evil, not for people like me)
•Good things don't... (last, happen to me)
•If something can go wrong... (it will)

    About Relationships:

•I'm too much / not enough for... (anyone, a partner)
•Relationships always... (end badly, hurt me)
•I have to be perfect or... (they'll leave, I'll be rejected)

    About Change:

•I'm too old to... (start over, learn, change)
•It's too late for... (me, my dreams, things to be different)
•People like me don't... (succeed, get lucky, find love)

    Signs of a limiting belief:

•You say "I can't" when you mean "I'm afraid to"
    •You avoid opportunities before trying
•You feel stuck in the same patterns
•You dismiss compliments or success as flukes
•You compare yourself unfavorably to others

    Remember:

•Beliefs feel like facts but they're interpretations
•You formed these beliefs to protect yourself
•Changing beliefs takes time and repetition
•Evidence of the new belief already exists—you just filter it out
•You can hold a new belief while old feelings linger
