    Mountain Meditation

    Mountain Meditation is a visualization practice popularized by Jon Kabat-Zinn in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). By imagining yourself as a mountain, you cultivate qualities of stability, groundedness, and equanimity in the face of life's changing conditions.

    Just as a mountain remains solid and unmoved while weather patterns come and go—sun, rain, snow, storms—you can learn to stay centered as emotions, thoughts, and life circumstances change around and within you.
