    Peace Theory

Peace Theory is an expansion of the theory as explained in the book by Matt James.

    How This Benefits You:

    Helps You Release Trapped Emotions

    • You release emotions from the past that may be difficult to release otherwise.

    Helps You Feel Peace

    • Of all positive emotions, peace has the most benefits for the human body by a long shot. Focusing on peace and replacing distressing emotions with peace helps you find a constant state of peace and immediately starts to help you psychologically and physiologically.
    • You build self-awareness when you aren't at peace.

    Builds Competence and Self-Sufficiency

    • This method allows you to fully work through distressing emotions which will help you realize the power you have over your emotions as well as realize that you don't need to sit in distressing emotions, you can choose peace.

The first step in peace theory is to choose a specific negative emotion that you want to rid yourself of. Start with whatever emotions are predominant in your life. Once you've taken care of the big ones, move on to other emotions. Any emotion that you read from the list that elicits a negative emotion or physical response means that your subconscious needs to process through it. Not processing through your unprocessed emotions is a commitment to feeling them in the future. Bilateral stimulation is used to help process the emotion throughout the experience which you can read about if not already familiar with it.

Here are the steps to do Peace Theory:

    1. Pick the emotion you want to work through.
    2. Start bilateral stimulation.
    3. Picture your life timeline in your head making it a physical object rather than an abstract idea. It can look however you want.
    4. Imagine yourself hovering above your timeline and then imagine yourself rising into the air as high as you can go while still being able to see the timeline. This tests your ability to use this method effectively and may be used in the future for other reasons to be explained in a bit. If you can't imagine yourself rising above your timeline, this method likely will not work for you.
    5. Allow yourself to float back to the first time you experienced the chosen emotion that you want to get rid of. This can be before, during, or after your birth. If you are struggling knowing where the first event on the timeline is, there are a couple things you can do.
      1. Pick a spot that feels right. Trust that your subconscious mind knows where it needs to go.
      2. Do something called mind-body bridging. Feel the emotion that you are wanting to work through and identify how it feels in your body. Allow your mind to float back to the first experience you've ever had where you felt that body sensation.
    6. Once the spot is identified you allow yourself to float back a bit further on the timeline to before you ever experienced the emotion. This is done under a specific theoretical assumption that feelings can't be felt in the future as they haven't happened yet. As the brain has an extremely difficult time distinguishing between reality and imagination, placing yourself on your timeline before the event ever occurred tricks your mind into thinking it hasn't happened yet, which should make it easier to release the emotions associated with that experience.
    7. Releasing is done in three stages:
      1. Stage 1: When you're positioned in the past before the event happened, rate your distress on a scale of 0-10 with 10 being the worst you can think of. Ask your subconscious mind to release all negative emotions associated with the event. Wait patiently until all negative emotions are released and you can rate your emotional distress thinking about the event ("before it happened") at a 0.
      2. Stage 2: Change your position on the timeline to hover over the event. Rate yourself on the 0-10 scale again. If you have any distress, ask your subconscious to release all negative emotions associated with the event. Wait until you get to a 0. If you're already at a 0, move on to the next stage.
      3. Stage 3: Lower yourself into the event itself, becoming a participant in the event. Rate yourself 0-10 on the distress scale. If there is distress, ask your subconscious to release all negative emotions associated with the event until you get to a 0.
    8. Using Light: When you are releasing emotions, one thing that helps many clients is imagining a color of light that represents peace in an orb above your head. Imagine the light entering in through your head, filling your body with the light, and exiting through your feet passing into the event itself. You can change and adapt the light however you want (use your imagination) to make it more powerful to create faster and deeper change.
    9. Float up through your entire timeline repeating this process for any event in your past that organically comes to the subconscious mind that needs to be processed until you get to the present on your life timeline.
    10. When you're at the present in your life timeline and feel you've worked through all negative experiences in the past that bring up the chosen emotion that have come up via the subconscious, check and see if there are any experiences you can think of that bring up that emotion on a conscious level. If there are, repeat the previous steps related to releasing that emotion.
    11. If you feel no trace of the chosen negative emotion towards your past, rate yourself on a scale of 0-10, with 10 representing complete peace, for how much peace you feel towards your past for that specific emotion. If you are at anything but a 10 imagine the orb of light representing peace above your head and allow the light to flow into you and then into your past. Continue with this until you feel at a 10.
    12. Once the past is complete, turn towards the future and rate yourself on a scale 0-10 for how strongly you feel the chosen negative emotion towards their future. If it's anything other than 0, go to the place in the future where you feel like the emotion is being held and ask your subconscious to release the emotion. Once you can rate yourself at a 0 in that spot in your future timeline, return to the present on your life timeline.
    13. Look towards the future once again and rate how much of that emotion you feel towards the future. If it's not a 0, repeat the process.
    14. Once you can look towards the future from the present on your life timeline, imagine the orb of light above your head representing peace and allow it to flow into your body and then into your timeline until you feel at complete peace thinking of your future based on the chosen emotion.

If you are struggling releasing the emotion there are a couple things you can do:

    1. Move yourself even further back into the past on your life timeline. The further you are away from the experience, the easier it should be to release those emotions.
    2. Fly higher above your timeline. The idea here is that you are creating physical distance representing emotional distance from the event. Fly as high as you feel necessary.
    3. Change the form of light representing peace that flows into your body and the event. Earlier when I talked about getting creative with the light, you can focus the light like a laser, have powerful crystals within the light that catalyze change, or any other variation you can think of.
    4. Ask your subconscious if there is anything that you need to learn from this experience before you can release the emotions attached to it. Repeat asking as necessary.
