In-Depth Explanation
Pranic Healing is a no-touch energy healing system developed by Master Choa Kok Sui in the 1980s, drawing on ancient esoteric practices. "Prana" means life force—the same concept as "chi" in Chinese, "ki" in Japanese, or "ruach" in Hebrew. This system teaches that the body has an invisible energy body (aura) that interpenetrates the physical body, and that disease first manifests in this energy body before appearing physically. By cleansing and energizing the energy body, physical and psychological healing can occur.
Pranic Healing is based on two fundamental principles:
The practice involves three basic techniques: scanning (sensing the energy field), cleansing (removing diseased energy), and energizing (transferring fresh prana to the patient).
According to Pranic Healing, the energy body:
Disease is understood as disruption in the energy body—either depletion (not enough prana) or congestion (blocked, stagnant, or diseased energy).
Cleansing removes diseased, congested, or negative energy. It's considered more important than energizing—just as a dirty glass must be cleaned before filling with fresh water.
General Sweeping: Using your hands a few inches from the body, make sweeping motions from head to toe, flicking away the removed energy into a bowl of salt water.
Localized Sweeping: Focus on specific areas where energy is congested or depleted, sweeping with more precision and intention.
Self-Practice:
After cleansing, fresh prana is projected into the affected area to accelerate healing.
